What the depth chart displays#
The depth chart turns current bid and ask levels into cumulative curves. It helps you see how displayed resting liquidity is distributed around the market.
A large visible level can change or disappear before an order reaches it. The chart describes the displayed book; it does not predict future price movement or promise available fills.
Match the market and display#
Check that the depth chart and order book use the same exchange and instrument. Adjust the range or aggregation in the panel where those controls are available.
If depth looks different from another website, compare grouping, units, instrument and update time before assuming the data is wrong.
