Check the chart’s context#
Read the exchange, account and instrument shown by the chart and order-entry panel. When working with several charts, review the symbol-synchronization setting so a chart click has the effect you expect.
Chart controls depend on the selected exchange and your settings. A visible line is a representation of order or position data; the exchange remains the source for execution status.
Orders and positions on the chart#
When enabled, the chart can display working orders, entry levels, position information and supported TP/SL controls. Draggable-order and bracket options are controlled in terminal or chart settings.
Before moving a line or using a close control, confirm the account, instrument and amount. After making a change, verify the exchange’s updated order or position state.
TP/SL and trigger references#
Review whether a control creates a trigger order, a resting limit order or another exchange-specific action. Last, mark and index prices are different references and can trigger at different times.
Full-position and partial TP/SL support varies by venue and account mode. See Chart settings for visibility and bracket options.
