Connect an exchange

Connect an exchange

Add an API account on your device and verify the connection.

On this page

Before you start#

Create credentials in your exchange’s own API-management screen. Match the credentials to the product and environment you want to use: spot, derivatives, mainnet or testnet where offered.

Enable the read and trading permissions needed for your intended actions. Withdrawal permission is not required for the terminal’s trading workflow. Keep the key, secret and any passphrase private.

Add the account#

  1. Open Account → API Keys → Accounts → Add Account.
  2. Choose the exchange and account mode.
  3. Give the connection a name you will recognize in the account selector.
  4. Enter the fields requested by that exchange’s form.
  5. Save, select the account and inspect balances, positions or orders.

Use the Bybit, Binance or OKX guide for provider-specific notes.

Permissions and allowed IPs#

Some exchanges restrict API keys to specific outgoing IP addresses. The web terminal uses its hosted relay for exchange traffic, so your phone’s or computer’s public IP may not be the address the exchange sees.

Use the current outbound addresses for the relay you connect through. Confirm those addresses with the operator of your deployment before saving an IP restriction. Do not reuse another product’s published IP list.

Verify private connectivity#

Check the account and market shown in the order-entry panel, then check private balances or existing orders. Public prices can work while a key is invalid or read-only.

If the exchange rejects the account, check environment, product mode, permissions, regional eligibility, key expiration and device time. See connection troubleshooting.
