Custom modules & studies

Understand where custom code runs and what is saved.

On this page

Add a custom tool#

The terminal includes editors and device persistence for custom modules, hotkeys and chart studies. Use the relevant editor and its available examples to build or import a tool for your own workspace.

The syntax check catches parsing errors. It does not certify a module’s behavior or make untrusted code safe. Review the code and any capability approvals before running it.

Save and back up#

Custom modules, drafts and studies are saved in the device workspace. Use an encrypted backup to preserve them when changing devices or browser profiles.

Shared hosted marketplaces, remote attestations and an external SDK/MCP service are not configured in this build. Local custom-code features do not imply those services are available.
